Andrea Beth Rogers Crowned Miss West Virginia USA 2012
Andrea Beth Rogers was crowned Miss West Virgina USA 2012 on Sunday night Oct 30, 2011 at Days Inn Hotel, Conference Center, in Flatwoods West Virginia.
Andrea Beth Rogers is the 5’11" brown-eyed daughter of Kenda and Jim Rogers of Martinsburg, West Virginia. Andrea is currently working towards her Masters degree in Marketing Communications at West Virginia University. She is a Special Education Teacher at Berkeley County Schools. Andrea says her strongest talent is the ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations, including children with special needs. Andrea is an active member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and has lived in Italy for an entire summer while studying during college. Her favorite hobbies include studying, teaching dance, snow skiing, traveling and cooking. She describes herself as multifaceted, passionate and optimistic.
Crowned by Whitney Veach, MISS WEST VIRGINIA USA® 2011, Andrea will represent West Virginia in the MISS USA® 2012 Pageant. Miss USA 2012 , the 61st Miss USA pageant. It will be held in June of 2012. The winner will represent the United States in Miss Universe 2012 beauty pageant. Miss USA 2011, Alyssa Campanella of California will crown her successor at the end of 2012 Miss USA Beauty Pageant.
The remainder of the “Top 5” included: First Runner-up Erin Given of Craigsville, Second Runner-up Andrea Turner of McMechen, Third Runner-up Jessica Schueler of Jumping Branch and Fourth Runner-up Charisse Haislop of Parkersburg.
The Semi-finalists were: Erin Given of Craigsville, Allyson Conrad of Huntington, Sarah Thorne of Moorefield, Kristina Snider of Mineral Wells, Kayla May of Moyers and Taylor Eaton of Fraziers Bottom.
Taylor Eaton was named Miss Photogenic and Andrea Turner was voted Miss Congeniality.
